The Finest Dance Crew is an African dance group based in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province that specializes in both traditional and modern African dance performances. It is made up of people from various African countries – Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Congo, Togo and Burkina Faso; and a North American country – Grenada. It was created in 2015, then mainly for the purpose of presenting African dance performances at the Sino-African Night organized yearly by the Institute of African Studies, Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU). But as the years went by, the team received invitations to perform at other cultural and non-cultural events. Till date, we have performed at intercultural exchanges, parties, trade exhibitions, conferences, award ceremonies, and sports events mostly in Jinhua and nearby cities like Yiwu and Hangzhou.
Our goal is to represent the African culture through dance while promoting cultural understanding between China and Africa. Our passion for dance and the opportunity to put smiles on our audience faces when performing is what drives us.
