Anisha Thai is a Vietnamese-Comorian Artist, entrepreneur, choreographer, dancer, social
media content creator who was born and raised in Paris, now based in Hong Kong. She has
been living in Hong Kong for 7 years and her goal has been to build bridges between Asian and
African communities through dance, music, art using the powerful tool of Social Media.
Anisha is known to create viral content on social media as she has reached millions of views
and her social media community reassembles around 360K followers across the globe and I
hope to keep impacting more and more people with her unique voice and story.
She studied Civil Engineering in Paris and South Africa and was a Civil Engineer for 4 years
before she became the first African-Asian woman to have won a national TV dance competition
on TVB in 2021 in Hong Kong “Dance For Life”, impacting the culture scene of Hong Kong,
greater China and Asia. She has also featured as a contestant on Street Dance of China S5
(2022, Top 40 out of 200) and Netflix Asia’s reality show Let’s Feast Vietnam (2023).
Anisha has showcased her versatility across her dance, choreographies and lifestyle content on
social media. She has also worked on African representation by being selected to be the face of
international brands campaigns in Asia Pacific such as Apple, Fenty Beauty, Lululemon,
Tommy Hilfiger & NBA. She has choreographed for international artists and created unique
shows on TV, Public and private events in Hong Kong.
Anisha is an ambassador for racial diversity – as she chooses to raise awareness and combat
racism and xenophobia with her interventions as a speaker (TedX Talk , February 2024) or by
sharing her experiences, interactions through short/ long form of social media videos which
openly show the dynamics, the challenges of being bi-racial living in Hong Kong. She has an
aspiration to become her own inspiring model, inspiring the new generation to be more open,
genuinely curious, to respect and celebrate different cultures, and co-exist together.
Anisha is an international dance instructor as she is currently giving afro dance workshops
throughout Asia to promote the culture and create unique cross-experiences.
