Ms. Beene Ndulo is a Senior Counsel in the Legal Department at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank(AIB). At AIB, her achievements include her work as Project Counsel on the Bank’s investment in the South East Asia Women’s Economic Empowerment Fund (SWEEF)(AIB’s first impact investment in a gender-focused private equity fund).Project Counsel for the Bank’s financing for the Vietnamese bank, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank(the first ever blue bond issued from Viet Nam and AlB’s first investment in a blue bond), Project Counsel for AlB’s inauguralUS$300 million and US$200 million digital bond issuances (the first on Euroclear’s DFMI platform by an Asia-based issuer)and Project Counsel for AlB’s HKD 4 billion bond issuance(the first ever Hong Kong dollar bond issued in a public format by an international issuer).Prior to joining AllB, Ms. Ndulo worked for the AfDB and in private practice as a senior capital markets lawyer at magic circle international law firms in London, Tokyo and Dubai.
