Dr. Idorenyin Polycarp Asuquo, is a radiologist and researcher currently working on the genetic disparities among lung cancer patients. He has collaborated with research teams from various Chinese Hospitals such as Beijing Shijitan Hospital affiliated Hospital of Capital Medical University, Shandong Qilu Hospital and Beijing 301 PLA General Hospital.
In addition to his bachelor’s and clinical Master’s degrees, he obtained postgraduate certificate on Research methodology from Harvard Medical School and Harvard Medical School’s Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership program. Attended trainings on Artificial Intelligence by IBM, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology USA.
In China, he conducted research on lung cancer, lung cancer genetics and artificial intelligence.

He served in the NIDO China constitution review committee, Served as co-chair of the NIDO China business and Investment committee and the NIDO think-tank committee.
Recently co-founded the Journal of Tropical Research (thejtr.org) to promote scientific work conducted in the tropics especially sub-Saharan Africa.
