Queen Modestus, in her capacity as the Director of the China-Africa Discourse Center and Professor Ou Rong, the Dean of the School of International Education at Hangzhou Normal University mutually agreed and the Center for China-Africa Discourse Studies was established in the University and housed within the Intercultural Communication Research Center within the School of International Education at Hangzhou Normal University. It is now officially recognized as a part of Hangzhou Normal University, a university established in 1902.

Moreover, Queen Modestus expressed her dedication to strengthening collaboration between Hangzhou Normal University and various universities in Africa. She has also been entrusted with the responsibility of facilitating the establishment of the Hangzhou Normal University International Students African Alumni Association. This is not new to her, as she was also the President of the Lagos branch of the China alumni in Nigeria, and worked closely with the Chinese consulate in Lagos before returning to China.

In addition, Queen Modestus is a co-founder of Hangzhou Kunni Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd., a company dedicated to promoting sustainable development between China and Africa. With the support of over 40 Chinese enterprises and collaborations with various institutions and vocational centers, Queen Modestus and her team are working closely with governments to establish training centers across African cities. The aim is to equip the youth with modern technology and skills, which will contribute to the development and betterment of lives on the continent. As part of this effort and through the cooperation of Ambassador Chimezie Ogu, the Consul General of Nigeria Consulate in Shanghai, Queen Modestus will lead a delegation to Nigeria in March 2024 to explore investment opportunities in the education and technology sector
