My journey of being hands-on started when I was still just a small girl in a small village in the North-Eastern part of Botswana, but my growth and investment in celebrating the African culture began in 2017 when I came to do my Masters Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Arts Design. To this day, I have been offering consultancy services and products to people beyond the African descent, thereby putting Africa on the global map.
For the past 7+ years that I have been in China I braided and styled hair and locs and I have recently started retailing my first ever home-made skin and hair product which continues to be celebrated by the African community since it is a challenge to get products that are well-suited with our skin and hair here in China. During my hair consultancy journey, I also continue to offer braiding and styling workshops for those interested in learning how to take care of afro hair for themselves and for their loved ones, something that is highly appreciated by especially those who are not of African descent but do have children who carry the African DNA.
My pursuit of a Master’s degree in Arts Design activated other artistic abilities in me, which are not only for the African community here but will benefit those back home as I plan to have a training center for arts one day. I design and make African themed jewelry, incorporating it with modern materials which has captured the attention of the new generation while still bringing satisfaction to the old.
