Loving, sociable, and caring—this is Stefan Morgan.
I enjoy collaborating because shared ideas and teamwork lead to the best outcomes. I am
continually seeking ways to grow personally and professionally, and I find true fulfillment in
helping others do the same.
I hail from Jamaica, a small island with a global impact, straight from the vibrant shores of
the Caribbean. Known for its good vibes, flavorful food, and warm-hearted people, Jamaica
is the essence of who I am, and it’s this spirit I proudly carry with me here in Beijing, China.
As more Caribbean individuals began to arrive in Beijing, we realized that something was
missing: a space where we could connect, celebrate our culture, and enjoy the tastes and
sounds of home. Alongside three fellow islanders, we launched Caribbean Kings (CBK),
a cultural initiative designed to unite the Caribbean community in Beijing. Through CBK,
I’ve helped build more than just events, I’ve fostered a sense of belonging, bringing a piece
of home to those far away from it. What began as a community effort quickly grew into a
movement. In less than two years, CBK attracted not only Caribbean nationals from across
Beijing but also from cities throughout China, along with curious locals and expats eager to
experience our culture.
In addition, I’ve collaborated with Tribe Garden, a well-known Ghanaian restaurant, to host
joint events that blend Caribbean and African cultures, forming what we now proudly call an
Afro-Caribbean Community.
Whether organizing events, sharing information, or simply being a supportive friend, I
always strive to go the extra mile. My heart is with the people, and my vision is clear: one
day, I aim to open a Caribbean restaurant in Beijing, a true cultural hub that our community
can call home.
